GO GLUTEN-FREE AT FRESH RESTAURANT IN BRIDGEHAMPTON!


Owner-chef Todd Jacobs designed the Fresh menu to include options for everyone’s dietary needs. Gluten is a protein complex found in wheat, barley, rye and triticale. A gluten-free diet may be doctor recommended or a personal choice, but Fresh provides an abundance of choices that abide. Taking over the site of the former Southfork Kitchen in May, Jacobs, who earned kudos as the chef at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor in the mid-90s and critical acclaim in Westhampton Beach at Tierra Mar, offers a “fresh” concept that is family-friendly, affordable, and accessible.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The ordering concept is really great: everything on the menu can be ordered according to different portion/price so if you aren’t really hungry or are on a budget, you can plot out your dining experience accordingly. I think the idea of being able to order the same high quality entree at a less expensive price because it is a smaller portion is such an amazing idea~ Kudos to Todd and his team!

 

 

 

 

The menu is derived from natural ingredients and also includes organic, raw, gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan options. Dishes range from salads, entrées, sides and desserts with many available in small plates, regular, and family-style portions. KDH loves the RAW “Fresh” Summer Roll with julienned hearts of romaine, beets, carrots, avocado, peppers, scallions, asparagus & local dried tomatoes wrapped in collard green leaf with tomato chipotle vegan aioli [below].

 

 

 

 

 

Appetizers, such as “kim chee” pickled savoy cabbage, baby bok choy, carrots, and wild arugula will range in price from $6 to $12. Entrées such as Tandori spiced oven roasted chicken with pan juices and green cardamom will be available in three different sizes (1/4, 1/2 and whole); and hemp flour crusted local jumbo fluke filet with organic carrot butter, ginger and lemongrass range in price from $20 to $30. A bar menu will serve late. Food will be available for take-away as well.

 

 

 

 

Also offering a full bar and juice bar, Fresh will be open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and for Saturday and Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dinner is served Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible.
