“There’s no need for sky-high heels when you’re at the beach — It should be all about ease and comfort, while remaining stylish,” chimes Ferebee Taube and Eleanor Ylvisaker [pictured above], co-founders of FEYT.com, an online venture that excels in expert styling advice and curates pieces which link to e-commerce partners: Net-a-Porter, Outnet, Shopbop, Kirna Zabete, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Edon Manor.

What if you could walk into your favorite store and see only the merchandise you know you like?  Imagine if you could open your closet to perfectly put together looks, and share them with your network of friends~ this is the inspiration behind FEYT.com

“Real style comes from discovery. But discovering the best of what you like takes time, energy and access. FEYT is a website that customizes and curates your personal shopping experience,” says Eleanor.

These gorgeous glamour girls have lots of fashion cred behind their new venture: Co-founder Ferebee Taube formerly worked as an independent brand consultant in lifestyle press strategy, event planning, celebrity outreach, and fashion show execution for clients including Vogue, Theory, Alexander Wang, Vena Cava, Elise Overland, Chloe, House of Lavande and retail store Edon Manor.

Partner Eleanor Ylvisaker co-founded Earnest Sewn in 2004, building a successful wholesale business, selling product in over 500 stores worldwide, and establishing the company as one of the leading preeminent luxury denim brands.  In 2005, she helped open the label’s first retail store, a concept shop in New York’s historic Meatpacking District, and worked on the launch of their global e-commerce web site.

KDHamptons caught up with FEYT’s fashion duo to get the inside scoop on what haute Hamptonites will need on their summer shopping list :

KDHamptons:  Are there certain essentials that we need to replenish every summer?
Ferebee Taube: Yes,  each summer I am always shopping for a new beachy tote, great cover-ups, bathing suits, flat sandals, a great wedge, lightweight dresses, comfy t-shirts, and at least one good pair of shorts…and a cool pair of sunglasses!

KDHamptons:  What specific pieces are you loving as we transition to summer?
Ferebee Taube: Jeans by Mother with high-top sneakers and an Alexander Wang sweatshirt because~ despite the fact that it is May~ it still feels like winter outside!  As summer approaches, I’m excited to pull out Isabel Marant and Celine dresses, as well as Rag & Bone shorts.

Eleanor Ylvisaker: It’s always tough to dress during transitional weather periods. I tend to stick with layering, so my everyday uniform includes my 3×1 light blue jeans, Balenciaga nude leather wedges, Cacharel floral short sleeve top, and Isabel Marant open knit long camel cardigan.

KDHamptons:  On top of styling tips, e-commerce and your blog, are there other special features chic Hamptonites can utilize on FEYT.com?
FT/EY: The full site will debut this summer, offering users personalized profiles and online “closets,” customized purchase suggestions and an integrated social shopping experience.  The more you use it, the smarter it gets.  Purchases and saved looks can also be shared with friends via FEYT or outside networks like Facebook and Twitter.
