KDHamptons: What inspired you to create The Seven Collection?

Pauline Rochas: My family heritage inspired me to create the Seven Collection. Carole and I wanted to create luxury fragrances that go beyond jest smelling nice, our perfumes are created with the intention of transcending simple adornment, they are meant to to manifest divine anointment. This is a collection of 7 luxury fragrances with a function, they were created to unleash and purify the vitality of the Chakras. Each perfume in the collection is made with an exclusive blend of luxurious essential oils tailored for on specific chakra. The scents help people feel balanced so they can radiate love, confidence, feel empowered, provocative, sexy, etc… Each fragrance is made with luxury essential oils, sourced meticulously from around the world and specific to each chakra.  The Parfums are intended to elevate your divine self, reconnect to the earth, and harmonize your physical and spiritual bodies.Le Quatrieme Parfum By Coolife_bottle box on whiteDebuting in Spring 2016, Coolife’s latest creation is Le Quatrième Parfum, a smoldering, Oriental scent made to arouse the spirit at its primal roots. KDHamptons: What do you love most about the Hamptons?

Pauline Rochas: The Light. And my favorite town is East Hampton.  To me it’s the most special village of the Hamptons and has an extraordinary historical heritage, while at the same time being the subject of a soap opera. While it is home to some families that can trace their lineage back 10-12 generations in East Hampton and even earlier, to the village of Maidstone in the North of The County Of Kent, it is also the backyard playground of New York’s and lately, Hollywood’s heavyweights. Its year-round charm is what makes it so attractive to artists & writers who seek solitude and inspiration for their work.  I love the mixed architecture from colonial to contemporary, farm stands, fresh local produces, its different landscapes, from the northwest woods to farmlands, Indian trails, ocean & bay beaches, the vineyards, the windmills, artist studios, the flowers, restaurants, 1770 house, the Maidstone, the cemetery…It’s simply paradisiaque!

KDHamptons: What does a perfect Hamptons day look like for you?

Pauline Rochas: Waking up with the Sun rises on Gerard Drive, Paddle boarding on Gardiner’s bay with my two Chihuahuas, take my boat and waterski on the way to Navy Beach for lunch with Friends, later go to either the Farmer’s Market, Balsam Farms, Stuart Seafood, or Round Swamp to get local food for dinner, grill and drum around a fire pit while watching the moon, or stargazing.

KDHamptons: Share your favorite restaurants?

Pauline Rochas: 1770 House, Moby’s, The Inlet & Duryea’s in MTK, Dockside & Tutto in Sag Harbor, Pierre & Almond in Bridgehampton.  I love Gerard Drive’s Bay Beach overlooking Gardiner’s Island. It is serene, calm, breezy, un-crowded, and offers the most spectacular sunrise and sunsets. It’s variety of wild life, animals, birds, fish, clams, oysters… It makes me feel so in touch with nature. Ditch Plains is my favorite beach for surfing. I also love Georgica Beach for the drive through the old and massive oak trees, passing through some of the most beautiful mansions, and Georgica Pond. I love having long walk there with dogs & friends (year round)
Napeague Dunes for its privacy
