KDH Movie Night: Check Out Dr. Kot's Review For Margin Call!

SHARE
KDH and Doc had a Monday night movie date in Sag Harbor.

KDH had a movie night with husband at the Sag Harbor Cinema [a classic theater specializing in foreign and art house films] where we saw Margin Call starring Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany, Penn Badgley, Zachary Quinto, and Demi Moore. Based on the star wattage, we had high expectations going in, but unfortunately we thought the movie was a bit of a snore! I coaxed Dr. Kot to write up a movie review for KDHamptons readers [thanks honey!]. Here it is:

“The movie Margin Call, based on the financial meltdown of 2008, fell flat in its attempt to ‘humanize’ the characters on screen. The dialogue, anguishing long pauses, and miscast actors [hi Demi!], failed to capture what must have been sheer panic within the brokerage houses during that period. The pervasive and underlying theme of greed was the only constant throughout. Not even an all-star cast could save this imploding, boring flick. Guess some things can’t be too big to fail. Two thumbs down.”

The historic single screen Sag Harbor Movie theater is so charming and quaint!
We popped by for a drink to see our friend chef Andrew Buffalino at LT Burger!

After stopping by LT Burger, we headed over to Sen restaurant, my favorite sushi restaurant in the Hamptons. In the summer season the line runs out the door at Sen, so it’s great to be able to stroll in and get a table easily. The lighting is low, the service is great and the sushi is so authentic, fresh and delish!

*Hey, if you need a break from turkey leftovers this weekend, head to Sen at 23 Main Street, Sag Harbor; 631.725.1774

The vegetable Gyoza at Sen.
Spicy tuna and avocado roll and asparagus avocado rolls are my favorite!
We tried the tuna sashimi special and loved it~ put that on the permanent menu Jeff!
