As a passionate reader—first as a child and now as a mother—AERIN’s founder, Aerin Lauder,  feels a personal connection with First Book’s mission to end knowledge poverty by ensuring children in need have access to new books and quality learning resources.
The haute Hamptonite and granddaughter of Estee Lauder shares, “I have always loved books, and as a mother I wanted to share my passion for reading with my children. I was lucky to have books growing up, but for many children getting access to books isn’t easy. First Book understands how crucial books and reading are to a child’s life.” Aerin, a dedicated philanthropist, initially partnered with FIRST BOOK last May 2013, which enabled the charity to provide 100,000 new, high-quality books to children in need in the Los Angeles area.
