On 29th September, Montblanc presented Watermill Center founder Robert Wilson’s 70th birthday at an event benefitting the Watermill Center~ in Berlin! The event included a production of Voluptuous Panic, an art performance, auction and birthday dinner. Robert Wilson – director, visual artist, designer and cultural visionary – is a long-time friend of the Montblanc brand and has “put his creative genius to work to help bring to life the world of the international luxury brand.”

Special guests included H.R.H. The Princess Caroline of Hanover, German Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award Winner Harald Falckenberg, Herbert Groenemeyer (Musician), Clemens Schick (Actor), Sunnyi Melles (Actress), Till Broenner(Musician), Gabriele Henkel (Business woman), Eva & Adele (Art Couple) and Lutz Bethge, CEO of Montblanc International, who gathered together to celebrate Wilson’s birthday.

Earlier this month, on September 8th 2011, at the global launch of the Montblanc “Collection Princesse Grace de Monaco”, Robert Wilson presented “Grace for Grace” a theatrical journey in three parts that tells the story of the incredible Princess Grace of Monaco’s life from young actress to princess. The show staged at the Opera de Monte Carlo in the presence of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco and Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco, brings the 20th century icon to life with the elegance and style that she was recognized for. Great performers from opera star Diana Damrau to singer/songwriters Martha & Rufus Wainwright, from Bryn Terfel to Shenyang, all acted out this visual feast, lending their incredible talent to Wilson’s inspiring vision.

KDH thinks it’s amazing to see the global reach that Robert Wilson has on the creative arts world. Check out the photos from the big event!
