Hi KDHamptons readers! How are you? Many of you are getting ready to go away on winter holidays so I hope you will share some of your vacation pix with us! I am currently in Abu Dhabi visiting my sister Kim who lives here with her husband Steve and my godson.

I am absolutely crazy about Abu Dhabi. You can do so many fun things in a day here~ I thought I would share my Wednesday photo diary with you. Kim and I spent the day with Brady at her beach club, the Emirates Palace. Not really your ordinary beach club, but then again nothing in Abu Dhabi is ordinary~ it’s spectacular!

Built as an iconic landmark showcasing Arabian culture, Emirates Palace is situated on a 1.3 km stretch of private white beach with amazing manicured lawn and lush landscaped gardens.  It is a destination resort for world leaders, celebrities, and culturally curious guests as well as a private beach club for 80 Abu Dhabi residents.

My morning started off early with a heated tennis match against Kim’s friend Helen Frith Powell, a gorgeous British girl who is the editor of the fabulous M magazine here. Loved swapping stories about our jobs! Next up a walk on the beach, some picture taking, a delicious lunch of chicken curry, sunbathing, swimming, tea at the bedouin tent, checking out a sculpture show, and then home to the villa! Oh, I could get really used to this…

More details to come tomorrow….

The grand facade of the Emirates Palace is one of the most popular attractions for photo opps in Abu Dhabi.

Why can't I grow a bougainvillea hedge row in the Hamptons? So pretty.
My sister Kim is such a great hostess!

All of the bougainvillea, hibiscus, and other exotic flowers are in bloom.
Our gorgeous waitress at lunch. Love the dress.

I will post more tomorrow about the amazing sculpture installation that is suspended through the palm trees...
There are always two camels hanging out on the beach if you feel like a ride!
We stopped in for a tea at the bedouin tent...
The best part about the visit was when Kim showed the camel trainer that his picture is in this month's Vogue with Carolina Herrera!!!

We spent the rest of the day swimming in the crystal clear water, followed by a great nap on the beach...perfect day!
