CHEERS! Whimsical woman-owned tableware brand Sprezz is now available at Goop’s Sag Harbor store. The name Sprezz comes from the Italian concept of Sprezzatura, meaning “effortless elegance.” Founder Anam Sadarangani grew up in Bombay, India in a household that cherished spending time with loved ones over long dinners. Living up to their name, Sadarangani (which literally translates to ‘always colorful’), the family’s table was filled with delicious home-cooked meals created by her mother. Anam shares, “growing up in India sparked a life-long passion for beautifully-designed tableware, as food is an integral part of the country’s rich culture and heritage.”This sparked a lifelong passion for beautifully designed tableware in Anam. The only thing she loved more than testing new products was helping friends curate their dinner tables and gift registries. She often heard people express the same frustration about the lack of affordable, high-quality tableware options.

Each region of India has its own unique cuisine, flavors, and ingredients that are deeply rooted in history and tradition. Food plays an important role in Indian festivals and rituals, such as Diwali, Holi, etc. During these celebrations, families and friends come together to celebrate and enjoy traditional delicacies.
Sprezz is also inspired by the 70s. Three of the inspirations for Sprezz are Gianni Agnelli (who Anam claims is “the epitome of Sprezzatura” (meaning effortless elegance rooted in imperfection, perfectly imperfect) Jackie Kennedy and Valentino Garavani. Anam admires “their elegance, not trying too hard but living well is something we hope to inspire.”
The Whimsical Tumblers (above) are designed by Alessandra Baldereschi. They are inspired by both Henry Matisse’s Cut-Outs and the colors of the ocean. Each colorway is available as a set of four as well as a mixed set with one of each color.
The Romantic Collection is designed by Margherita Rui. Their shapes are inspired by Ming Dynasty teacups.
