Hampton Ballet Theatre School Brings “Peter and the Wolf” to Life

This July, the Hampton Ballet Theatre School invites East End families to experience their delightful performance of Peter and the Wolf, an enchanting ballet by Sergei Prokofiev which introduces each character as the sound of a different musical instrument. Performances will take place on July 27 at LTV Studios and on July 31 at the Children’s Museum of the East End.

The production is a collaboration between the Hampton Ballet Theatre School, the Hampton Festival Orchestra, and narrator Josh Gladstone. The ballet will be performed by the talented young dancers of the Hampton Ballet Theatre School, under the direction and choreography of Sara Jo Strickland. It will feature the beautiful costumes of Yuka Silvera and Kate McManus. The iconic score will be played by the Hampton Festival Orchestra, a group of professional musicians hailing from the East End, conducted under the passionate precision of Dr. Andrew Perea.

For nearly two decades, the Hampton Ballet Theatre School has been a cornerstone of classical dance education on the East End, with two studios in Bridgehampton. Their annual performances have become a summer tradition, celebrating the arts and showcasing the hard work and talent of their students.
