The dating world in the Hamptons is a ton of fun, but can sometimes very hard to navigate. Social media brings us together and makes it easy to meet new people, but sometimes all the options can be overwhelming. If you are looking to try something new in the world of dating, try Bevy.

Bevy is an intensely personal matchmaking service that handpicks and vets qualified candidates to establish their membership. The boutique service with a 95% success rate is solely referral-based with no pictures and no last names. Whether you are interested in Bevy or just looking for some great dating tips, Bevy founders (above) Greta Tufvesson and Nikki Lewis share some Hamptons dating tips below, plus some more info about what brings them to the East End.

KDHamptons: What Brings The Bevy Out East?

The Hamptons are a beautiful place to unwind and relax from the hustle of the city, and it can really be whatever you want it to be – relaxing or party packed. We tend to be a mix of both, so it’s a great way for us to reconnect with our membership and scope out new places. Most of our clients leave the city for the summer While the Hamptons is probably the closest, most common escape. Many travel to Europe, Nantucket, The Vineyard.

We are always out there. Greta grew up spending time on Shelter Island at her family’s home and even met her husband out there. Nikki has been going for thirteen years with her family and friends. You’re likely to spot us at The Beacon, Sunset Beach or Crow’s Nest.

KDHamptons: Why date in The Hamptons?

The Hamptons are a great place to meet people. People let loose over the summer, especially when there are so many activities to choose from. You can meet new people while boating, watching Polo, pool parties, catching the sunset at your favorite dockside restaurant. Everyone is out and looking to have fun.

In terms of meeting new people in the Hamptons, os it just us or is the Surf Lodge the best in-person dating app? It’s packed with young singles who are all looking for a good time. Grab a drink and let the mingling begin – you’ll be there until 4am.

KDHamptons: What are the best date spots out East?

For nighttime dates, Tutto Il Giorno in Sag Harbor is our go-to. It’s incredibly designed and curated, and the food is excellent, and the service is speedy. Take a romantic stroll along the water after, or pop over to Bilboquet for a cocktail (or two).

For a daytime date, hands down Sunset Beach. Grab lunch at a table upstairs overlooking the water and hit the beach for a dip after.  It’s great spot where you can eat and play in your beach clothes.

When planning a date, make sure to consider location, location, location! You’re in Amagansett and your date is in Southampton – coordinate something in between, or make things easy for your date and pick something near them. Don’t pick somewhere that’s five people deep at the bar. A date is NOT the right time to try out the new hotspot. Go somewhere conducive to conversation.

The Beacon in Sag Harbor.

KDHamptons:  What Happens In The Hamptons doesn’t always Stay In The City. How to make love last back in the city?

It’s hard to keep summer flings alive due to travel schedule, but also the fact that there are seemingly so many options to choose from. We get it – skin is showing and people are having fun. But if you’ve met someone special, make plans in the city during the week. It feels more grounded and serious to take a date from the Hamptons into a date in the city and it helps set you up for a more serious budding relationship.

As for a success story, Greta’s is probably the best. She met her husband on his boat out here having been introduced by friends. It was love at first sight. They’re now married with two beautiful baby girls. For more info go HERE.
