KDHamptons: How long have you been coming to the Hamptons?

Fernanda: I have been coming here since just about the day I was born. My mother has been coming here since she was little so it’s a big part of my life.  I love spending time with my family and friends out here and really enjoy riding my bike, taking photos and paddle boarding.

KDHamptons: What do you love most about the East End?

Fernanda: Being out here always inspires me. It’s where I feel my best, most at home, and surrounded by all the things that matter to me. It’s a place for me to unplug and appreciate the landscape and move a little slower.

KDHamptons: Tell us about your new position at Parasolsun?

Fernanda: I am the creative director and newest partner at the company!

KDHamptons: How do the Hamptons inspire you when you are working on the collection?

Fernanda: All the colors, changing light, and nature out here is always so inspiring to me. It just allows my creativity to flourish. I get to see all patterns and colors that come from nature and try to incorporate them in to the line. Like, for example, the way the sky, ocean and sand all look together on a beautiful bright August day.

KDHamptons: Do you have a Hamptons “uniform”? What is your typical Hamptons look?

Fernanda: I mostly wear sun dresses during the day. Beachy and easy, like this Parasolsun dress, below. I don’t like being too dressed up and keep things pretty simple.

KDHamptons: What are the three key pieces from your Parasolsun summer collection that every haute Hamptonite needs? Where is the collection sold here?

Fernanda: I love the navy stacked zipped front swim shirt, our linen embroidered dress, and white long sleeve swim shirt with a purple stripe on the front.

KDHamptons: Where can we shop your collection in the Hamptons?

Fernanda: Parasol is sold exclusively at Aerin Southampton.

KDHamptons: What does your perfect Hamptons day look like?

Fernanda: Breakfast at the golden pear, oatmeal with berries, followed by a long bike ride. Lunch with family or friends and hopefully a swim in the ocean. In the afternoon I like to relax and chill out as much as possible. I like ending the day with a sunset paddle board or beach walk. Night time is usually a casual dinner with friends or a beach picnic. There is nothing better than a beach party out here!

KDHamptons: What is your favorite Hamptons restaurant, got a dish & drink you like to get every time?

Fernanda: I love Topping Rose House [below] year round. I also live at Provisions ~ love the stir fry.
