All of KDH’s fashionista friends [hello Ann Caruso!] are buzzing about the new Haute Hippie boutique in Southampton. HH is a great addition to the Jobs Lane retail scene because they offer a lot more than resort wear, and swimsuits- this is a serious high fashion label ladies! Designer and founder Trish Wescoat Pound signed a lease and moved in within a week and a half to her new pop-up shop on Jobs Lane in Southampton. Because Haute Hippie has such a loyal following in NYC, it made sense to open a Hamptons boutique to follow their customer, says Wescoat Pound, “It really is the perfect marriage of a brand to a location.”

The Haute Hippie brand launched in 2008; they describe their customer as “A gypsy with an edge, she is a little bohemian and a lot of rock & roll with the best fabrics, trims and embellishments that make a collection that is easy, rich, glamorous and sexy.”

The boutique is strewn with HH signature cowhide pillows, long horns, and the designer’s own antique rugs.  The Haute Hippie look is one part John Galliano-romantic mixed with a big dose of Malibu-Colony girl. Delicate floral chiffon dresses are paired with big chunky sweaters, topped off with a strand of sparkles around the neck.  The Southampton shop offers HH collaborations with Current Elliot denim and Erickson Beamon jewelry.

You can shop with Haute Hippie designers who will help style your new sexy look, and even take Polaroids to throw in your shopping bags so you have a cheat sheet once you get home!

Wescoat Pound spends summer time in Sagaponack at her boyfriend Jesse’s home, and has a daughter Jillian, who loves to ride horses out East.
