East Hampton Historical Society hosted their 9th Annual Summer Design Luncheon on Thursday, August 7th at 11 a.m. at the Maidstone Club (50 Old Beach Lane, East Hampton). This year’s Summer Design Luncheon presented guest speaker, acclaimed Interior Designer, Marshall Watson who discussed his new book, Designing Elegance.

Presenting engaging projects, Marshall revealed how his design principles adapt to geographies and climates. Whether in a light and airy seaside home in East Hampton or a modern renovation of a barn in Napa Valley, Marshall detailed how he translates each owner’s lifestyle, the house’s history, and the setting into a highly original form of elegance. The luncheon was made possible in part by the generous support of Doyle Auctioneers and Appraisers.
