The Watermill Center will host LIGHT + AIR on Saturday, December 16th, a new experience that celebrates the connection between The Watermill Center’s international Artists-in-Residence, members, and the global community. The evening will feature workshops, performance, a private art sale and the first-ever dinner event in The Residence. Designed by Roger Ferris and opened in 2020, The Residence is home to The Watermill Center’s year-round Artists-in-Residence and is typically closed to the public.

Ticket holders will be treated to a special gift from The Watermill Center – a complimentary 2024 Annual Membership. LIGHT + AIR coincides with the relaunch of The Watermill Center’s exclusive membership program, which grants members special access to private events and Artists-in-Residence throughout the year. First introduced in 2015, it will now feature access to members-only events, exhibitions, curated creative content and more.

LIGHT + AIR is open to all ages from 3-6PM and will feature a movement workshop with Ogemdi Ude, a painting workshop inspired by the works of James Ulmer, a private art sale featuring works by Robert Wilson and past Artists-in-Residence, among other special objects, in time for the holiday season. From 3-6PM the event will also feature a performance, DJ and refreshments including hot coco and wine around a bonfire. Dinner in the Residence beginning at 6:30PM is for 21+ and will feature Chef Jason Weiner from Almond Restaurant. Space is limited.

Tickets to LIGHT + AIR can be purchased HERE.

All proceeds from LIGHT + AIR will go toward supporting The Watermill Center’s Artist-in-Residence and free Education Programs. The Watermill Center is a nonprofit center for the arts and humanities.
