The Living Room Restaurant at c/o The Maidstone in East Hampton offers a special Swedish Christmas table menu, the Maidstone way, this December.  Now, through December 23rd, four courses of table servings are offered at lunch and dinner for $36 per person plus tax and gratuity. Prepared by Executive Chef James Carpenter, the menu is as follows:

First Serving
Brantevik Herring
Herring in mustard sauce
Herring pickled in Mackmyra whisky
Herring with cilantro and lime

Second Serving
Gravlax
Smoked trout with apple salad
Vasterbotten tarte with Kalix Bleak Roe

Third Serving
Swedish Christmas ham with winter kale, Jerusalem artichoke and Porcini gratin, mustard and applesauce, or
Cod, sauce veloute, green pea puree, crispy fried pork and butter

Fourth Serving
Creamy vanilla rice with cherries and candied almonds, or
Brioche bread pudding with chestnuts, cranberries and eggnog sauce

Hamptons French press coffee and toffees are served after dinner
