“We saw a huge opportunity to create a unique shopping environment unlike anything in the Hamptons which specifically relates to the garden, outdoor living and entertaining.  East Hampton Gardens (EHG) is a fresh take on elegant garden design and home decor,” shares Michael Giannelli, co-owner of this stunning new store with partner Gregory Shano.

Gregory adds, “The vibe is “formally informal” as we like to call it, and you’ll find everything from William Yeoward crystal (exclusive to East Hampton Gardens in the Hamptons), to gorgeous tabletop decor and linens, along with beautiful pottery, vintage garden statuary, serving pieces, fresh flowers and more.  The overall mood is happy and bright- a little bit of Palm Beach meets East Hampton.”

Before venturing into interior design, both Michael and Greg spent 25 years working in the field of fashion design at top brands including the Gap, Ann Taylor Loft, Victoria’s Secret.  In addition, gardening and home design has always been a passion for the pair, who have curated their dream home in East Hampton over the past 20 years.  “It’s been a dream to own a place like this. We were ready to say goodbye to the world of fashion, and as luck would have it, last year the owners of EHG told us they were ready to retire and sell the business. So we took a leap, and here we are.”

Greg adds, “The outside still has all the beautiful flowers and plants that East Hampton Gardens is known for, but in addition Michael is also introducing outdoor furniture as well, along with garden ornamentation- obelisks, urns, planters, statuary, fountains and more.  Many of the pieces are inspired by French and English gardens, which Michael is a big fan of.”
