Stack on a few Bond bracelets....

Isn’t it funny how all of a sudden you notice a bunch of your chic girlfriends are all sporting the same hip little accessory? It could be a particular patterned scarf from Theodora & Callum, the new tangerine ballet flats from J. Crew, or in this case~ the new Bond bracelet from Walt Adler jewelry.

KDH loves the easy chic look of the Bond bracelet and the pretty colors it comes in [see our favs below] so we asked designer Walt Adler Chefitz to fill us in on the meaning of this trendy piece. Check out his KDH fashion diary below:

KDHamptons:  How do you create the Bond bracelet?
Walter Adler Chefitz: Each Walt Adler Bond Bracelet consists of two doubled links from my fine jewelry collection and a rawhide strap. The straps are cut from personally selected hides. I look for rough materials with the potential to be refined and made beautiful.

KDH:  Is there a significance behind the name and design of the Bond?
WAC: Yes, the Bond Bracelet represents the bonds that tie us together. You can be bound to yourself, to your family, to a lover, or to a friend. The unisex design spans generations.

KDH:  Why is the Bond bracelet the perfect spring/summer accessory for chic Hamptons girls?
WAC: I think because it is the perfect balance of raw and refined that results in simple elegance. With platinum, gold and silver options you get a touch of the truly precious.

KDH:  Can we wear the Bond to a polo match and a fancy dinner party?
WAC: Totally! Just select the color to match your outfit and the bracelet can easily go from day to night…

KDH:  What about sand and surf? Do we need to take the bracelet off before a day at the beach?
WAC: No you don’t. I wear mine all the time. I sleep and shower with it~ it has become a part of me.

KDH: Are there different ordering options for each bracelet?
WC: If you go to WaltAdler.com you can personalize your Bond Bracelet. You will have the option to choose your clasp style and leather color, and the image on the computer will update to display your bracelet, just like the other products on the site.

KDH: Do you come from a design background?
WC: Yes, I come from a jewelry family in New Orleans. My great grandfather founded Adler’s Jewelry in 1898 and I have built my business on my family’s heritage for the past ten years.

KDH:  What are you hobbies when you aren’t working?
WC: Well weekdays you will find me in my TriBeCa studio and on weekends I like to ride in bicycle races through New York State and New Jersey!
