My godson Brady, 3, took his girlfriends Cameron, 4, and Reese, 3, to the Christmas tree lighting in Abu Dhabi [where they all live]. After a seat on Santa’s lap, a pet of the reindeer, and a race around the giant tree, Brady invited the girls over to his villa to make some Banana Chocolate Covered Strawberry Bites with Shredded Coconut.
They are so delicious, and only take 15 minutes to prepare. Here’s the recipe:
Banana Chocolate Covered Strawberry Bites with Shredded Coconut
1. Cut bananas into thick slices and poke with toothpicks for easy eating
2. Wash strawberries and poke with toothpicks
3. In a medium saucepan, fill one quarter full with hot water and set on low heat. Place a glass bowl on top of pan and add squares of baking chocolate, milk or dark. Melt slowly and stir as you go. Drizzle melted chocolate over fruit and roll in shredded coconut. You can also add any kind of jimmies or colored red sprinkles for Christmas. Let them harden before serving and place leftovers in the fridge. Enjoy!
