THE SUPER CHEF HAS LANDED! JAMES CARPENTER TAKES OVER AS EXECUTIVE CHEF AT EAST HAMPTON POINT!

Well it was only a matter of time before Chef James Carpenter made his next big move. One of the most talked about chefs on the East End, James left the kitchen helm at The Living Room restaurant at c/o The Maidstone last year. My foodie friends and I have been anxiously waiting for James to resurface and start tempting our palates once again with his unique delicious spin on the slow food movement.

Carpenter has also worked at other Hamptons’ best-known eateries, including Della Femina, and The American Hotel, and earned a “very good” from The New York Times and three stars from Newsday while heading the kitchen at The Living Room. Carpenter’s experience started in Manhattan at Aquavit, and as well he spent time working with notable chefs such as Susan Spicer in New Orleans at Bayona, Louis Osteen at Charleston’s Louis’ and Gunther Seeger at Atlanta’s Ritz-Carlton Buckhead.

A devoted student of the slow food movement, James was one of the first chefs in the Hamptons to prioritize the use of local, organic produce, meat and seafood in his kitchen. Carpenter is committed to utilizing local produce and other resources on his menu at East Hampton Point. Now, check out some of the sample items on Carpenter’s new menu:
