Ariat Introduces a Limited Edition Line of Leather Handbags at the Hampton Classic Horse Show!

Ariat and Georgina Bloomberg will host a private reception at the Hampton Classic Horse in the Ariat tent on Stable Row, sharing a preview of Ariat’s exquisite handbag collection, lifestyle footwear, and English performance boots & apparel.  The Hampton Classic is a world-class equestrian competition, complete with shopping and entertainment, and Ariat is a first-time sponsor at this year’s event.

Ariat International, the leader in innovative Western and English footwear, apparel and accessories, will introduce a limited edition handbag collection. The collection, created by New York-based designer Sarah Blaustein of Sarah Hearey designs, consists of six elegant handbags that are inspired by equestrian tradition, handcrafted with Italian calf skin leather and detailed with equine hardware. The collection is hand made in New York and captures the best of the brand’s authentic heritage.

Each handbag features intricate details including horse hardware that is hand finished using the lost wax method, a traditional carving technique. The handles and over-the-shoulder strapping details are inspired by turn of the century horse bridles; all straps are constructed to fit comfortably on the shoulder or in hand. Additionally, most of the bags in the line come with a functional, removable suede pocket.

Limited quantities will be available for purchase at select English equestrian events through retail partners, and via Ariat.com this Fall, while supplies last. Retail prices will range from $395 to $1,295. The six bags include: the Pelham Cross Body Bag, the Lexington Magazine Tote, the Bexley Tote, the Georgina Satchel, the Del Mar Bucket Bag and the Santa Fe Hobo Fringe. Most bags are available in two colors.
