A Welcome Spin on the Hamptons Art Scene: Dempsey Breen Gallery Opens in Southampton
There’s a new creative pulse on Jobs Lane. Opening today, October 4th, the Dempsey Breen Gallery brings a fresh, youthful energy to the Southampton art scene. Founded by local artists Mariah Dempsey and Zoe Breen, the pop-up gallery at 14 Jobs Lane will stay open through the winter—an inspired move in a town that usually slows down once summer fades.

Inside the gallery, the stage is set for an ever-changing mix of contemporary works, with an atmosphere that feels more social than formal. The Dempsey Breen Gallery reimagines what an art space can be—pairing rotating exhibitions with community-driven events that invite connection and play. Think evening DJs, tarot readings, and creative gatherings designed to make art feel approachable and alive.
“We want a space that feels energetic and fun—something that’s truly alive,” says co-founder Mariah Dempsey. “This isn’t your average gallery,” adds Zoe Breen. “We’re transforming quiet spaces into vibrant places where people come together to celebrate creativity.”
The duo plans to carry this concept forward with a series of pop-ups in unexpected locations—keeping the experience ever-changing, inclusive, and full of momentum. Dempsey Breen Gallery is open now at 14 Jobs Lane, Southampton. Follow along on Instagram @dempseybreengallery for upcoming exhibitions and events. Can’t wait!
