Exclusive Pix: KDHamptons Hosts a Glam Garden Party!

The rain could not put a damper on the fun at my recent Glam Garden Lunch [which I quickly turned into a Posh Porch Party when the skies opened up and it began to pour!!] at our bucolic Water Mill farmhouse…
Haute Hamptonites, fabulous friends, and a few gorgeous guys gathered at my home to sip my white peach sangria, enjoy a gourmet feast prepared by Livia Hegner, owner of Pepalajefa in Sag Harbor, shop exclusive new items from Calypso, have an astrology reading by the Astro Twins, and satisfy their sweet tooth with confections from Hamptons Cupcake Lounge and legendary LADUREE!!
All the girls power shopped the Calypso “porch boutique!” Melanie Brandman, worldly goddess of luxury travel, shared that astrologer Ophira Edut was “spot on” with her readings, and my gorgeous healthy pal Julie Wolfe could not believe that the sweet treats from Hamptons Cupcake Lounge are actually good for you~ good thing “Head Cupcake” Cynthia Sachs was on hand to distill the ingredient list!

The Pepalajefa shop offers old-fashioned, classic European-inspired foods with international zest. Owner Livia Hegner derived the vision for the menu from a lifetime of travel and family-inspired recipes. Her goal is to introduce customers to a European approach to cuisine with new flavor combinations, preparations and seasonings. It was a treat for my guests to get to know Livia and get to know her colorful back story…

The Pepalajefa shop in Sag Harbor was designed by Craige Walters to exude an international atmosphere that transports customers by putting a fresh twist on the classic Italian macelleria. The walls are covered with global newspapers inspired by the owner’s global travels to small off-the-beaten track destinations. If you have not visited the shop yet, it is a must~go for Hamptons foodies!!










Plain-T is a boutique premium tea purveyor based in Southampton. This trendy company is the rage on the East End, where you will find their teas being served at fancy dinners, poolside at estates, and Sant Ambroeus.
Owner Tathiana [above] enlisted the expertise of a world renowned Tea Master and founded PLAIN-T. Together they hand-picked teas from the most prized gardens around the world and developed a vast artisanal selection second to none!


LADUREE~ the maker of my most~favorite macarons~ was first established in 1862, is credited with originating the French macaron as we know it! A double decker of pastry delight paired with a filling that melts in your mouth. The only thing that may rival the taste? The gasp worthy pastel presentation in which the treats are packaged! Lucky for me, a friend was able to drive out the chic celadon box from the city just in time…




More sweet treats were served by owner and baker Cynthia Sachs, who created Hamptons Cupcake Lounge~ a healthier alternative to one of the most popular desserts on the East End . Her flavorful low-fat, low-calorie, low-carbohydrate and low-sugar cupcakes [with a current selection of 27 creative flavors] were a total hit with guests placing orders to be delivered to their Hamptons homes!!
Always mindful of flavor and health, pre-made cake mixes, preservatives, stabilizers and cake enhancers are never included in Cynthia’s recipes. Instead of butter and oil, unsweetened applesauce and fruit purees are used to keep cupcakes moist. Truvia®, an all natural, zero-calorie sweetener that is approved for diabetics, takes the place of sugar.
